How To Destroy The Republican Party

by

GOPInsult the base.  (The original post is revolting in the extreme.)

Dear Iowa Republicans,

I’ll put this in language even your tiny little Iowa brains can understand: What the f*** is wrong with you people?

The news coming out of Des Moines (literally, French for “tell me about the rabbits, George”) tonight is distressing in the extreme.

VodkaPundit insults the intelligence of good decent people — the Huckabee supporters who gave Mike an overwhelming victory over Romney and he concludes with this gem:

So I repeat the question: What is wrong with you people?

All my love, you corn-sucking idiots,

VodkaPundit

Wow, elitist much?  Hint to VP: Republicans don’t win elections without evangelical support.

Fearmonger when you don’t get your way.

The market is tanking, allegedly because of the jobs report, with the Dow down 244 and the NASDAQ off 92 (3.5%) at this writing.

How much of the decline is due to the investor class rejecting the idea that any good news comes out of either Obama-McCain or Obama-Huckabee?

Yeah, right Huge Hewitt.  Just because your precious phony Mitt Romney didn’t win, despite outspending Huckabee 20-1, the markets are tanking. You’re unbelievable.  That’s utter nonsense.

Threaten to vote Democrat if your candidate isn’t the nominee.

I’ve been reading this line from a lot of commenters in a lot of comment threads where reaction to Huckabee’s win in Iowa is discussed and it fills me with disgust.

Republicans taking part in this personal destruction nonsense better knock it off if we, as a coalition, are going to win.  Scorch the earth too much and you’re not going to get support for your preferred elitist nominee.

Social conservatives are not going to participate if they are insulted and played for suckers.  That’s what you’re doing by threatening to vote Democrat if Huckabee earns the nomination of our party.

What a bunch of sore losers.

Wasn’t it a great Republican who said “If you strike me down, I’ll become more powerful than you can possibly imagine?”  Or was it something about hanging together or hanging separately?

Eh. It’s just some blogger. No biggie. Oh, and Hugh Hewitt. He jumped the shark a long time ago. No worries.

  2. Jimmy Goddard Says:

I’m pretty sure that quote was originally spoken by Ronald Reagan – we would all do well to note his wisdom.

  3. Sam Brown Says:

    We would indeed, Jimmy.

  4. FadedRose Says:

Ahh yes, let us all remember the wisdom of a senile old actor with Alzheimer’s.

And then let’s remember that the quote came from a great Jedi not a great Republican.

And there’s no author listed for this post. Must be Sam Brown and he’s too ashamed to put his name on it. (or he should be)

Don’t worry about how to destroy the Republican party, the punk and godfather team of Bush and Cheney have that all taken care of.

We need a man who is a social conservative, a fiscal conservative, and a foreign policy conservative. If the Dems can go liberal on all of them, we should too. Mike VERY much trounces the others on social conservatism, is one of the best fiscal conservatives (behind only Paul now thanks to his support of abolishing the Satanic IRS), and will likely be an excellent foreign policy conservative (behind only Ghouliani). He was originally smeared as a nanny stater, but I fail to see how much of one he is.

  6. Sam Brown Says:

Thanks for stopping by to comment, FadedRose. I’m not sure why I should be ashamed of this post. I actually thought it was pretty good. VodkaPundit and Hugh Hewitt, on the other hand, should be ashamed of the nonsense they posted.

For some reason the post author is shown on the main page, but not once you view a particular post. Perhaps I should sign my posts at the end like Psycheout does, especially once I bring other authors to this site. So thanks for pointing that out.

So far Jeremiah from Conservatives United and M. Sanders, a frequent Race 4 2008 commenter, have graced this site with their wisdom. The rest of the posts have been by me.

And actually the Jedi line was a joke, delivered in deadpan mode. Did you recognize the hang together or hang separately reference?

  7. Sam Brown Says:

Bob, I’m pretty sure that Mike wants to kick the IRS to the curb as well. He wants to replace our current confused tax system with the FairTax. It would effectively abolish the IRS. No more deductions from your paycheck. You’d keep what you earn.

Paul is unacceptable since he’s an isolationist nutbar.

Mike Huckabee is an old style conservative. Don’t confuse the current corporatist Republicans with conservatism. Huck’s conservatism is informed by Jesus Christ, unlike the secular Republicans we are all too familiar with.

A lot of Republicans these days love the corporation and the market as much as Democrats love the state. But God told us to place no idols above Him. Modern Republicans do. That’s forbidden by The Bible.

Huckabee loves people, just like Jesus. He is guided by God’s wisdom which comes to us through His Word, The Holy Bible. That’s why he should be the GOP nominee. It’s what God wants.

Amen! The people know what they want to spend money on; government doesn’t know anything.

“Paul is unacceptable since he’s an isolationist nutbar.”

To be fair, he is nice on economics; however, he serves an agenda over the people. Libertarianism was as quickly thought out as communism, and it too shall fail.

“Mike Huckabee is an old style conservative. Don’t confuse the current corporatist Republicans with conservatism. Huck’s conservatism is informed by Jesus Christ, unlike the secular Republicans we are all to familiar with.”

Exactly, Sam Brown. The protectionists are the real conservatives. The Rockefeller Republicans must go!

“A lot of Republicans these days love the corporation and the market as much as Democrats love the state. But God told us to place no idols above Him. Modern Republicans do. That’s forbidden by The Bible.”

This is all thanks to Nixon and the MSM’s attack on the earlier, good Barry Goldwater.

“Huckabee loves people, just like Jesus. He is guided by God’s wisdom which comes to us through His Word, The Holy Bible. That’s why he should be the GOP nominee. It’s what God wants.”

He will win the election, I am certain. Even liberals may vote for him, given that their god Stephen Colbert respects him enough to seriously debate with him on his show.

  9. FadedRose Says:

Yes, I caught the united we stand divided we fall reference. But that one remains a fair reference. Likening a Jedi to a Republican is in sharp contrast. Republicans would be more like the Trade Federation.

  10. Spacebrother Says:

Huckabee is a tax and spend Republican. He supports open borders, NAFTA, CAFTA and voted in support of sending American jobs to Communist China. With Conservatives like him, who needs Reagan?

The stupidity here never fails to astonish me.

  11. Spacebrother Says:

FadedRose gets it. I’m amazed that someone who is so young has more wisdom than the entire
    KKKoolade KKKlub combined.
